Magic Links for Memberships

Membership courses can be great for sharing valuable content with your customers or users. However, sometimes logging in can be a hassle, especially if someone forgets their password. That's where Membership Magic Links come in!

These one-click links allow users to quickly and easily access your courses without remembering their usernames or password. Whether sending out the link via email or using it as a custom menu link, Membership Magic Links make it easy to grant access to your courses to those who need it.

Be sure only to share the link with those who should be granted access to your content.

Create Magic Links

  1. Head to Memberships in the left menu of your GLM account.
  2. Hover over Courses and select 'Settings' from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select 'Site Details.'

    If you do not have Magic Links there already, click on 'Generate Magic Link.'

    1. When you click to generate the link, 2 Magic Links will generate - User & Learner.

      The User link is for your team members who have an active user account in GLM.

      The Learner link is one you would send to your contacts (clients or leads).

  4. If you do have Magic Links already created and need to regenerate them, click on 'Regenerate Magic Link' below the existing links.

    Note: If you regenerate the magic links, old versions of the Magic Link will no longer work.


You may now copy your Magic Links and use them in GLM-based emails and messages in order to grant contacts faster access to Products which have been granted to them.

Magic Link FAQs

Can I send the Magic Link to someone who hasn't been given access to a Product?

You can...but it won't work 🙂. When you send the Magic Link to a contact, they will only see Products to which they have been granted access.

How can I grant a contact access to a Product?

First, you'll have to create the Product and its associated Offer.

  1. Then, go to 'Contacts' in the left menu of your GLM account.
  2. Search for the person's name.
  3. Click on their name to open their contact card.
  4. Scroll down in the left column until you see the 'Offers' field.
  5. Use the drop-down menu to select any offers to which this contact should have access. Remember, one offer can include one or more Products.

    If you ever need to revoke an offer for a contact, simply revisit this section of their contact card and click the 'x' near that offer name.

What's the main reason to use Magic Links?

The primary purpose of Magic Links is the ease the Product-access process for your contacts. With a Magic Link, they'll have direct access to your Product library (to any courses to which they've been granted access) without logging in each visit. They can save this link to their bookmarks as well!
