Manage Comments in Membership Courses

Adding comments to your Memberships is an optional feature that can allow you to gather feedback on the content you are providing.

Enable or disable comments within Lessons

  1. Select Memberships in the left column of your GLM account.
  2. Hover over the Course option in the upper menu and select Products.
  3. Select the Product for which you wish to update the Comment settings.
  4. Select 'Comments' in the menu below the course title.


  5. On the Comment page, you can move between Products in the top field.


  6. In the New Comment Privacy field, decide the default behavior when a new comment is posted.
    1. Instructor Only means that the comment will be visible to the admin/course creator only.
    2. The Public option allows the comment to be visible to all users - admin and participants - immediately.
    3. Both (User Selection) causes an option box to appear on the user's side when they post a comment. They will be able to select if the comment should be for the instructor/admin only or visible publicly to all.

  7. To enable comments for an entire Category of Lessons, update the menu to 'Enabled' to the far right of the Category name. Each of the Lessons will update automatically.

  8. You may also select to leave the Category comments as 'Hidden,' but to enable comments for specific Lessons.

    Updating a Lesson or Category to 'Hidden' means that all previous comments will be hidden and no new comments can be added.

  9. Opting to 'Lock' the comments means that old comments will continue to display, but new comments cannot be added.

Managing comments in Products

  1. On the main Products page, select 'Manage Comments.'

  2. All Comments will list in the 'All' tab and you are able to filter the comment list by Product or Lesson (via the 'Post' field).

  3. You can reply to, edit, change the preference for, or delete a comment on the menu associated with each comment.

  4. You can restore deleted comments by selecting the 'Deleted' tab and opting to restore the comment on the right of the screen.
