Limited-Quantity Packages and Start-Date Control

Authors list

A section in the Package Builder, Advanced Settings, has been added to assist with configuring limited-quantity packages. The update includes options to control how many packages can be sold, when packages become active, and when billing begins.

These updated settings allow Owners to:

  • Set limits on how many packages can be sold (great for special events, camps, challenges, etc.).

  • Scheduled packages to start on a specific date.

  • Determine when the billing plan begins for packages with a specific start date.

Note

Activating Auto Renew is not an available option for Limited Quantity packages. The use case for this feature is single-use packages.

The new Advanced Settings include:

  • Limited Quantity:

Defaulting to "Off," change this Setting to "On" to limit the number of packages that can be sold.

    • Limited Package Sales: This setting appears when Limited Quality is set to "On" and allows you to set the maximum number of these packages that can be sold.

  • Set Specific Start Date:

Defaulting to "Off," change this Setting to "On" to enable pre-sales for a program that starts in the future.

    • Package Start Date: The date that this package will become Active

    • Billing Plan Start Date: Determine when the billing plan(s) should begin

      • "Match package start date" means that the Billing Plan will start on the day that the package is set to become Active.

      • "Immediately Charge First Invoice" means that the first invoice will be charged when the package is purchased. Any remaining installments will align with the Package Start Date. This is a great option to utilize if you take a deposit before the event begins.

When Athletes purchase Limited Quantity Packages through the Sales Portal, there will be a ticker providing the number of available packages remaining (i.e. 3/20).
