Re-enable login for a returning athlete
How do new athletes and staff activate their accounts?
When you first add an athlete or staff member to Kilo, they receive an activation email. From there, they:
Click the link in the activation email.
Set a password for Kilo.
Log in with their email and password at the athlete portal at app.usekilo.com, or download the Kilo Members app and log in there.
If the Athlete has not activated their account, using the “Password Reset” option does not activate the account or allow a password reset. Resend the Login Activation Email and ask the athlete to accept the invite and set their password.
How do I resend an activation email?
If a new athlete loses track of their activation email, you can resend it from Kilo GMS.
NoteThe activation email can only be resent to athletes who have never had their login enabled in Kilo. For a former member who is returning, use Enable Login instead, as described below.
How do I disable an athlete's login?
When an athlete ends their membership, you can disable their login so they can no longer sign in to Kilo. Disabling a login is optional.
Find the athlete in your Users → Athletes list.
Open their athlete profile and click the Actions button.
Select Disable Login.
Once disabled, the athlete can't log in to Kilo with their email and password, and they can't use the Forgot Password option.
How do I enable login for a returning athlete?
Search for the athlete in your Users → Athletes list.
Open their athlete profile and click the Actions button.
Select Enable Login.
The athlete can then go to the Kilo Members app, use the Forgot Password option to reset their password, and log in.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I resend the activation email to a returning athlete?
The activation email is only available for athletes who have never had their login enabled in Kilo. A returning member already activated their account once, so select Enable Login for them instead. They can then reset their password with Forgot Password.
Can a disabled athlete reset their password?
No. While an athlete's login is disabled, the Forgot Password option doesn't work for them. Enable their login first, and then they can reset their password.
Do I have to disable an athlete's login when their membership ends?
No, disabling a login is optional. You can choose to disable it when an athlete cancels or ends their membership, but Kilo GMS doesn't require it.
How does a returning athlete log back in after I re-enable their login?
They reset their own password. After you select Enable Login, the athlete goes to the Kilo Members app, uses Forgot Password to set a new password, and logs in with their email and that password.
