Click to Cancel Feature

Kilo has introduced a Click to Cancel feature to help gym owners comply with evolving federal and state regulations regarding subscription cancellations.

Many states now require businesses to offer an easy and accessible way for customers to cancel recurring memberships or subscriptions. The Click to Cancel feature ensures that owners can meet these legal requirements by providing a streamlined, digital cancellation option.

⚖️ Legal Compliance

Kilo’s implementation is designed to support compliance, but gym owners are ultimately responsible for ensuring they are meeting the specific legal requirements in their state.

We strongly recommend reviewing your state’s guidelines for consumer cancellation rights, especially related to auto-renewing memberships, to ensure your business remains in full compliance.

✅ What This Means for You

  • The Click to Cancel option can be enabled for your clients to allow cancellation directly through their app.
  • The process is straightforward for members and helps reduce friction or disputes around billing and membership termination.
  • You maintain visibility and records of cancellations for your own reference and reporting.

✅ How It Works

  • When setting up a package, you will now see the Allow Athlete Click-to-Cancel in the Athlete App and may opt to turn 'on' the ability to cancel.
  • If package is visible on the Sales Portal or Auto renew is turned 'on' the Athlete can go to the Packages tab, click into the package and click "Cancel Package."

  • Athlete will confirm they wish to cancel and receive a confirmation "Package has been successfully canceled."
  • The active package credits will be available to use until the package ends; auto-renew for next (upcoming) package will be turned off.
  • The active package will be updated to 'active/canceling' with the new end date.

In order to receive notifications when an Athlete cancels a package, a new Flow can be established using the "package canceled" trigger and can be sent to Staff or Athletes. For further details on how to create a new Flow, please refer to the Automation Flow Builder help article.
