Getting Started: Connecting and Posting in the Social Planner

Integrating Your Social Media Accounts
Inside GLM, head to:
>Settings
>>Integrations
- Find the Social Media Integrations box and click 'Connect.' This will take you to a new window where you will need to log in with the relevant credentials and approve the connection.
Connect the Social Planner
Back in GLM, go to:
>Marketing
>>Social Planner
- Select each Social Media Account and connect in turn. Once connected, you will be taken to the Social Planner dashboard.
Make a Post
- Click the blue ‘New Post’ button in the top right corner. Next, ‘Create New Post’.
- Next, use the drop-down menu to select the Social Media platforms you wish to post to. Use the check boxes to make your selection.
- Insert your copy into the text box.
- Next, add your chosen image. Do this by clicking the little picture icon picture underneath the text box, and select ‘Upload from Media Library’. Select your chosen image from the Media Library, or upload a new file.
- Next, click the toggle on for ‘Customize for each channel’. This will now allow you to customize the content (importantly, the format of the call to action) appropriately for each social media platform. You can preview each iteration of the post by clicking on the different platform icons.
- We recommend the following for the key 3 platforms, each including a clear call to action:
- Facebook: add a clickable link
- Instagram: refer to the link in the bio (ensuring that this contains a link to book)
- Google My Business: add a call to action button with the relevant label (eg ‘Book’) and insert the link
- It’s time to post / schedule! Click the blue ‘Post’ button if you want to post immediately, or click the arrow to select more options.
- If you want to schedule the post(s) in the future, select ‘Schedule Post’. This will take you through to a calendar where you can select the date and time.
- You will now find the scheduled post(s) on the Social Planner dashboard, under ‘Scheduled Posts’. To make changes, click the three dots on the right hand side. Choose ‘Edit’ to adjust the posts, ‘Clone’ to duplicate the post (to allow to schedule for an additional date, or make changes to a copy of the post before scheduling), or ‘Delete’ to remove the scheduled post(s) completely.
Connect An Additional Social Media Account
You can connect an additional Social Media Account at a later date if you wish - this is not limited to the first time you use the feature. To connect an additional account, click the icons in the top left corner of the Social Planner dashboard, and select ‘Add Account’.
Calendar View
From the Social planner dashboard, select the light blue button in the top right corner labeled ‘Open Planner’ to see a Calendar view of your scheduled and historical posts.
From here, you can add a new post on a given day, by clicking the small blue ‘+’ button on the given day.
You can also find the same Edit options for existing scheduled posts that you would find on the dashboard list view, by clicking the three dots on any scheduled post.
