Using the Whiteboard and Logging Results During Class

The Whiteboard is the gym-facing display you put on a TV, monitor, or tablet to show the day's workout during class. It's part of the Kiosk, and it's also where a coach can log results for the whole class from one screen.

You'll find it under Kiosk → Select Class → View Workout in the main menu. By default it loads today's class, so there's almost nothing to set up before class starts.

What You Can Do with the Whiteboard

  • Display the day's workout on a screen at the gym, section by section
  • Switch between a coach view and an athlete view to keep private notes hidden
  • Run a built-in timer with stopwatch and countdown modes
  • Go fullscreen for clean projection on a TV or projector
  • Log results for every athlete in the class from one spreadsheet-style screen

How to Show the Workout on a Screen

  1. Open Kiosk from the main menu and select the class you want.
  2. Click View Workout to open the Whiteboard.
  3. Use the date selector and class navigator to move between days or classes if needed.
  4. Switch to Athlete View before projecting publicly so coach notes stay hidden.
  5. Click Enter Fullscreen for a clean, distraction-free display.

You can move through the workout one section at a time using the section selector and the Previous / Next controls, which is handy for guiding athletes through each phase of class.

What's the Difference Between Coach View and Athlete View?

Coach View shows your private coach notes; Athlete View hides them. Both show the full workout and any athlete notes. Use Athlete View whenever the screen is visible to the room, so your private cues and scaling notes stay between staff.

Is There a Timer?

Yes. The Whiteboard includes a built-in timer with stopwatch and countdown modes. It floats on the screen so you can open or close it without losing your place in the workout, and it keeps running in fullscreen. Use the stopwatch to count up or the countdown to set a fixed working time.

How Do I Log Results for the Whole Class at Once?

Open the Workout Results tab on the Whiteboard and enter results in the grid, one row per athlete. Each column matches a tracked movement or scored section, and the inputs adjust to the scoring type automatically (time, weight, reps, and so on). It's built for entering a full class quickly from one screen.

A few things that make logging faster:

  • Auto-save: there's no Save button. Entries save on their own after a brief pause, with a clear saved confirmation.
  • Units per column: pick the unit for a column (for example, lbs or kg) and it applies to every athlete in that column.
  • PR indicator: movements set to track personal records show an indicator so you know they're being tracked.

Do I Need to Hit Save?

No. The Workout Results screen saves automatically. After you enter a result and pause for a moment, Kilo saves it and shows a confirmation. There's no separate save step to remember.

How Do I See Who Still Needs Results Entered?

Use the status filters and the progress counter at the top of the results screen. You can filter to All, Completed, or Pending athletes, search for a specific athlete by name, and watch a live count of how many athletes have results logged out of the total. Completed athletes are marked in green and pending ones stay white, so gaps are easy to spot.

Why Can't I Edit the Workout from the Whiteboard?

The Whiteboard is a display, so workouts can't be edited there. This keeps the projected workout stable during class. To change a workout, edit it in the Workout Builder, or change what's assigned to the class in Programming.

Helpful Tips

  • Switch to Athlete View before projecting so coach notes never show on a public screen.
  • Put the Whiteboard on a dedicated TV or tablet so the workout and timer are always visible.
  • Use the section navigation to keep athletes focused on the current part of class.
  • Filter to Pending after class to quickly finish logging anyone you missed.

When the Whiteboard Is Most Helpful

  • Displaying the workout clearly for athletes during class
  • Running timed pieces without a separate clock or app
  • Logging a full class's results in one place right after the workout
  • Keeping private coaching notes off public screens
