2026 Fitness Trends: Your Complete Guide - Blog Copy

BLOG TITLE: 2026 Fitness Trends: Your Complete Guide

Every year, the American College of Sports Medicine releases its top trends in fitness.

It’s always a great list, and it helps us ensure our gym provides exactly what people are looking for.

Here’s a quick look at the ACSM list, with some insight into the 2026 trends.

HEAD: 1-3. Wearable Technology, Mobile Exercise Apps and Data-Driven Technology

We’ll combine these three closely related trends. Wearables and apps provide a ton of data you can use to get better results in the gym. Our programs match up perfectly with Garmin products, Fitbits, Oura Rings and all the great apps out there.

Even better, our coaches can review your data, help you interpret it and ensure your training plan moves the metrics you care about.

HEAD: 4-5. Fitness Programs for Older Adults and Adult Recreation and Sport Clubs

We love these two because we’ve seen what happens when people prioritize fitness for life: They live well as they age.

We create tailored programs for older adults, taking previous injuries, mobility issues and other concerns into account. If you’re 50+ or know someone in that range who wants to start working out, we can help.

As for sports, we have lots of ideas if you’re interested in competition: Hyrox, Spartan Races, running events, functional fitness competitions, bodybuilding, powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting, and more! There are many ways for masters athletes to participate in fitness sports.

HEAD: 6. Exercise for Weight Management

A professionally crafted fitness program is a key component of any weight-loss plan. If you do the right workouts, you’ll burn calories, shed fat and add lean muscle.

To supercharge your gains, we offer nutrition and healthy habits coaching so you can learn what you need to do outside the gym to hit your goal weight.

HEAD: 7. Balance, Flow and Core Strength

General fitness training quickly improves balance and core strength, but we can also incorporate elements that will help you make gains faster. Wobble boards, single-leg work, intense core routines—we’ve got all the tools to help you boost your balance and forge an iron core.

HEAD: 8. Exercise for Mental Health

We’ve seen this for years: People who start working out and accomplishing goals stand taller and smile more. It’s incredible. Exercise has such a positive influence on the mind and not a single negative side effect.

If you’re looking to boost your mood in winter and build momentum that will sustain you all year, start working on strength and conditioning. We encourage people to track their moods and results as they train, and if you do this, you’re likely to see lots of positives in your logbook.

HEAD: 9. Traditional Strength Training

Strength training is our bread and butter. We know exactly how to make people stronger fast. No guesswork, no “maybe.”

We’ll find out exactly what you want to accomplish and put together the ideal plan. We have a ton of experience here, so we can tell you when you’ll start to see results and what to do so you keep moving forward. We’ll log your progress so you can literally see the numbers changing. It’s incredibly motivating.

If you want to build strength in 2026, we can help.

HEAD: 10. Functional Fitness Training

This buzz term just means “doing stuff that improves real-world performance.” Examples: doing squats and lunges so it’s easier to climb stairs or doing deadlifts so you can pick up your child or dog.

“Compound movements” use many joints at once and transfer directly to the real world. They’re more complicated than fitness movements that use machines, but expert instruction flattens the learning curve. We can teach you how to do any functional movement and explain exactly how it will help you on the job, in your sport or in your home.
