Tip of the Week #70-How to Share a Lead Magnet and Auto-DM It to Facebook Comments

Want to grow your lead list while giving away something valuable like a recipe or workout PDF? With Gym Lead Machine, you can automatically send your lead magnet via DM when someone comments on your post — no manual messaging needed. Here's how to do it!

🥞 Step 1: Create Your Lead Magnet

  1. Go to the Design Library in Gym Lead Machine.

  2. Choose a seasonal or evergreen lead magnet. In this example, we’re using a Pumpkin Protein Pancake Recipe.

    Customize the design:

    • Replace any default branding (like the Kilo logo) with your gym's logo.

    • Make sure everything looks good.

      Generate a shareable link:

    • Click to share via Canva (or similar tool).
    • Make it a public link so anyone with the link can view it.

💬 Step 2: Set Up the Workflow in Gym Lead Machine

  1. Create a new workflow and name it something like "Pumpkin Lead Magnet".

    Add a trigger:

    • Choose Facebook: New Comment on a Post.
    • Select your gym’s Facebook page.
    • Set post type to Published Post.
    • Use “matches exactly” for the keyword (e.g., pumpkin ).

    • Add uppercase variations too if needed (PUMPKIN ).

      Add an action:

    • Select Interactive Messenger.
    • Craft your message. Example:
Hey [First Name]! 🎃 Here’s your Pumpkin Protein Pancake Recipe 👉 [Link]
    • Paste the public Canva link into the message.
  1. Save & Publish the workflow.

📢 Step 3: Create Your Facebook Post

  1. Go to your gym’s Facebook page.
  2. Create a post using the lead magnet’s cover image.

  3. Write a simple call-to-action like:

    Want this fall-themed high-protein recipe? 🍁

    Comment “pumpkin” and we’ll DM it to you!

  4. Publish the post.

🔁 Step 4: Link the Workflow to the Post

  1. Go back into your Gym Lead Machine workflow.
  2. In the trigger section, select the specific Facebook post you just published.
  3. Save everything again.

✅ Step 5: Test It Out

  1. Head to your Facebook post and leave a comment with the keyword (e.g., “pumpkin”).
  2. You should receive an automated message in your inbox with the lead magnet link.
  3. Check Gym Lead Machine’s workflow history to confirm it worked.
