Coming Soon: Improved Google Calendar Integration with GMS
A highly requested update to Scheduling in Kilo Gym Management will be released during a scheduled maintenance window on Sunday, June 1 at 1:00 pm Eastern. The downtime will last 4–6 hours, with service fully restored by 7:00 pm on Sunday.
This update enhances the integration between Kilo GMS and Google Calendar and enables GMS to check for conflicts when scheduling sessions on behalf of another team member.
Whether you have never integrated your Google Calendar to Kilo or have an existing Google calendar sync with Kilo GMS, all users with Staff profiles will need to reintegrate their Google Calendar with the Gym Management system after the update.
To Connect your Google Calendar in Kilo GMS
- Go to the Calendar tab on the menu
- Click Integration
- Click "Connect Google Calendar"
- Sign in to the Google calendar you wish to integrate, click 'Continue'
Important: On the "Sign in with Google" popup, make sure to check the checkbox that says "Select All"
Once the Integration has been added, use the checkboxes to select which Event Types that you want to automatically add to your integrated Google Calendar
Select the Google Calendar that you want to add Kilo Events to
Click Save
Select any calendars that should be checked for conflicts.
It is essential to share the additional "Check for Conflicts" calendars with the primary calendar in Google before they can be made visible in Kilo GMS. To learn more about how to set the integration with Google, please refer to the Google Help doc: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37082?hl=en
If there are shared Google Calendars that are missing, you can use the "Fetch Calendars" button to attempt to re-load your Google Calendars.
When Should I use "Delete" button?
We strongly discourage using the "Delete' option if your calendar is not syncing properly, this can lead to additional issues with the integration. It is recommended to use the "Force Resync" button to fix any inconsitencies between your Kilo Calendar and your Google Calendar. In the event you are still having any issues, please reach out to hello@usekilo.com so our Support Team can assist with troubleshooting.
Google Sync to Avoid Double-Booking
After integrating, when scheduling on behalf of a team member, you will be alerted of a conflict if they have a "busy" event entered in their integrated calendar.
