Tip of the Week #31- How to Pause Workflows in GLM

In this tip, I'll walk you through pausing workflows within your automation system, a useful feature when planning vacations or holidays for yourself or team members.

Steps to Pause a Workflow:

  • Access Global Workflow Settings:
    • Navigate to the automation.
    • At the top of the screen, locate and click on 'Global Workflow Settings'.
  • Using the Pause Workflow Feature:
    • Within the settings, find the option labeled 'Pause Workflow'.
    • This feature is straightforward to use. Simply select the 'Start Date' for when you wish to pause the workflow.
  • Selecting the Date Range:
    • For instance, if planning a vacation from Friday to Sunday, choose this specific date range and confirm your selection.
  • Choosing Which Workflows to Pause:
    • Decide if you want to pause all workflows or specific ones.
    • If only pausing specific workflows, such as those handling new leads, navigate to those particular workflow settings (e.g., 'Fitness Pipeline New Lead', 'Fitness Pipeline Long-Term Lead').
  • Setting Annual Pauses:
    • To pause workflows annually during specific periods, like Christmas, set the date range from December 24th to December 25th and select the option to repeat annually.
  • Saving Your Settings:
    • After adjusting the settings as needed, click 'Save' to apply the changes.
    • If you need to revert any changes, simply click the corresponding trash can icons next to the workflows you've modified, then click 'Save' again to undo the pause.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage your workflows during times when you or your team are away, ensuring that your gyms operations are optimized for any planned absences.

Additional Tips:

  • Regularly review your paused workflows to ensure they align with your current gyms needs and holiday schedules.
  • Utilize the pause feature to prevent workflow actions from executing during periods of low activity, like public holidays or personal vacations.
