Tip of the Week #27- How to Schedule a Full Year of Social Media Content Using GLM
With 2025 just around the corner, let me show you how you can use Gym Lead Machine to knock out an entire year’s worth of social media posts in just a few steps. First, log in to Gym Lead Machine, head over to the Marketing section, and look for the CSV Upload option. From there, download the sample CSV file so you know what format the system needs. Open it up in something like Google Sheets or Excel (I personally prefer Google Sheets), and clear out the sample data to start fresh.
The spreadsheet needs a few key columns filled out: year, month, day, hour, minute, second (to schedule your post), ad copy (your post text), and ad creative (a URL for your image, GIF, or video).
If that sounds like a lot, don’t worry—it’s easier than it looks.
For the ad copy, I like to use ChatGPT to help come up with ideas. You can ask it something like:
"For the year 2025, I want to schedule 1 unique post per week for {insert your gym name} with a call to action to click the link. The link is {insert your link}. I need the days and times they post each week to be random and the ad copy to be relevant to the day it's posted. Be extremely down to earth and personal and not seem like a marketer. I need it formatted in this way: postAtSpecificTime (YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss)content. Respond in such a way I can copy and paste into google sheets. "
It’ll spit out something you can copy and paste straight into your spreadsheet.
Next, for the images or videos, gather your files and upload them somewhere that gives you sharable URLs. If all the links end up in one cell, just ask ChatGPT to separate them for you—it’s a lifesaver for little tasks like that. Once you’ve got everything filled out in the spreadsheet, double-check it to make sure the dates, times, posts, and links all look good. Then save the file as a CSV.
Now, head back to Gym Lead Machine, upload your CSV, and select which social media account (like Facebook) you want to use. Once it’s uploaded, check that everything looks right and hit Create. Just like that, you’ve scheduled a year’s worth of posts!
This process is a game changer. It saves you time, keeps your content consistent, and helps you stay connected with your audience all year long. Give it a shot, and you’ll be surprised how much it simplifies your social media game.
