Tip of the Week #2 - Cleanup your Contacts
Every gym is different, so adjust this process to fit what works best for you. Keeping your contacts clean will help you stay organized and ensure your marketing efforts hit the mark.
Welcome to this week's tip of the week, where we'll walk you through the process of cleaning up your contacts in Gym Lead Machine. This is part one of a three-part series.
Step 1: Navigate to the Contacts Tab
- Open the Dashboard: Go to your Gym Lead Machine dashboard.
- Access Contacts: Click on the contacts tab, which should display your contact list.
Step 2: Set Your Page Size
- Page Size: Set the page size to 100. This allows you to view and manage more contacts at once.
Step 3: Identify and Remove Unwanted Contacts
- Scan for Blank Names: Start scrolling through the list and look for contacts with blank names for these may be spam.
- Check Phone Numbers: Identify any phone numbers that look suspicious or could be spam.
- Merge Duplicate Contacts:
- Select duplicate contacts by checking the boxes next to them.
- Click the "Merge" button at the top.
- Choose which information to keep for the merged contact.
- Confirm the merge by typing "confirm" in the prompt.
Step 4: Remove Test Accounts and Spam
- Identify Test Accounts: Look for test accounts or contacts that don't have complete information, such as "Bikini Test", "John Doe", or "Test".
- Delete Unnecessary Contacts:
- Select the contacts to delete by checking the boxes next to them.
- Click "Delete Contact" at the top.
Step 5: Repeat for All Pages
- Continue the Process: Repeat these steps for each page of your contacts. Each page should take around two-three minutes to review and clean up.
Regularly cleaning your contacts ensures better organization and management, and removing duplicates and unnecessary contacts helps maintain a clear communication channel. Stay tuned for next week's tip of the week, where we'll continue with part two of our contact cleanup series.
