GLM Tip of the Week #93: Social Planner: Delete Published Posts Directly from Gym Lead Machine

Overview

Gym Lead Machine includes a built-in Social Planner that allows you to schedule and manage your social media content without needing additional software. You can access it by navigating to:

Marketing → Social Planner

The Social Planner supports publishing content across multiple platforms, including:

  • Google Business Profile
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • LinkedIn
  • YouTube
  • TikTok

In addition to scheduling posts, a new feature now allows you to delete posts directly from Gym Lead Machine.



Delete Published Posts from Within the Social Planner

You can now delete posts directly from the Social Planner for the following platforms:

  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • Google Business Profile
  • YouTube
  • Pinterest
  • Threads

When you delete a published post inside Gym Lead Machine, the post will also be removed from the connected social media platform. This means you no longer need to delete the post separately from Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google.

To delete a post:

  1. Navigate to Marketing → Social Planner.
  2. Locate the post under the Published or Scheduled tabs.
  3. Select the post you want to remove.
  4. Confirm you want it removed from the respective platform
  5. Delete the post.

The post will be removed from both Gym Lead Machine and the associated social media platform.



What Happens if a Social Account Is Disconnected?

If you attempt to delete a post and receive a notification that your social account has been disconnected, Gym Lead Machine will guide you through the reconnection process.

Once the account is reconnected, you can continue with deleting the post.



Platform Limitations

Currently, this delete functionality is not supported for:

  • Instagram
  • TikTok

These platforms do not currently provide the permissions required to support post deletion through the integration.

For all supported platforms, deleting a post from the Social Planner will also remove it from the respective social media account.
