How To Display Your Programming (Workout of the Day) on a TV
Kilo Gym Management includes a Programming feature that allows you to enter your Workout of the Day so athletes can view it directly inside the class schedule when registering.
At this time, Kilo does not have a built-in feature to “cast” or display the workout on a TV from within the system.
To help solve this, our website design team has created ready-to-use Workout Display templates in Canva that you can customize and display on a screen in your gym.
Below is your step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Access the Workout Display Templates
- Open Kilo.
- Navigate to the Design Library.
- Click the In Gym tab.
- Browse the Workout Display options (with photo or without photo variations).
- Click “Try This Design” under the template you prefer.
You’ll be redirected to open the template in Canva.

Step 2: Edit the Design in Canva
You can use Canva with a free account!
Once the template opens:
- Update your logo
- Adjust brand colors
- Replace placeholder text with your upcoming workouts
- Duplicate pages if you want multiple days prepared in advance
When finished, you can:
- Keep it open in Canva for live display
- Or download it as a PNG or PDF for easy casting
💡 Pro Tip: Many gyms create one template per day and simply duplicate and edit it each morning.
Step 3: Display (Cast) the Workout to a TV
Since this step depends on your in-gym hardware, below are the most common options.
Option 1: AirPlay for Apple Devices (MacBook, iPad, iPhone)
If you use Apple products, you can use:
- Works with Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible smart TVs.
- Open your Canva design.
- Click Screen Mirroring on your device.
- Select your TV.
This allows you to display the design wirelessly.
Option 2: Google Cast / Chromecast for Android Devices
If you use Android:
- Use a Chromecast device or a TV with built-in Google Cast.
- Open Canva.
- Select Cast Screen from your device.
- Choose your TV.
Option 3: Smart TVs (No Extra Device Needed)
Many modern TVs (Samsung, LG, etc.) support:
- Screen Mirroring
- AirPlay (on compatible models)
- Built-in casting options
Check your TV’s settings or user guide for how to share images to the screen.
Option 4: Direct HDMI Connection
If you prefer a simple, stable setup:
- Connect a laptop directly to your TV via HDMI cable.
- Open your Canva design in full-screen mode.
- Set the TV input to HDMI.
Option 5: Dedicated Streaming Devices
You can also use:
- Apple TV
- Chromecast
- Amazon Fire Stick
These devices plug into your TV and allow wireless casting from your laptop or phone.
Please Note: We’re happy to share general casting recommendations, but the exact setup will depend on the technology and equipment available in your gym. Because every in-gym setup is different, the Kilo Support Team is not able to provide hands-on assistance with hardware configuration, TV setup, or device troubleshooting.
Summary
While Kilo’s Programming feature allows athletes to see workouts inside the schedule, displaying them on a TV requires a simple external workflow:
- Use the Canva Workout Display template from the Design Library
- Customize it for your gym
- Cast or connect it to your TV using your available hardware
If you need help finding the templates or deciding on the best display setup for your gym, our team is happy to help!
